2025 Average Daily Airplane Accidents Down 38% Under Trump

I fact-checked the Fake Media's notion that airplane accidents have increased under Trump's leadership.

If you believe fake social media and news propaganda, and don’t use critical thinking, then you might be led to believe that there has been an increase in airplane accidents under Trump’s leadership since 20th January 2025.

The CEO goes on to explain that the FAA has more than 50,000 staffers and only about 300 staffers have been terminated so far by the Secretary of Transportation, and those terminated staffers worked in non-critical safety functions. CBS quickly changed directions to a different subject.

Also, I looked at a couple of fake-news articles whereby they don’t actually lie directly; rather, they lie by omission.

For example, Anthony Robledo of USA Today just wrote an article highlighting the accidents YTD (year to date) 2025, but failed to even compare the number of crashes to date to relevant past data from prior years or to the same period of prior years. This would be considered basic journalism. However, he and his employer are not journalists, they are paid propagandists.

If they would perform real journalism, then they would show that average daily airplane accidents in 2025 are down by nearly half when compared to the average daily airplane accidents during the entire last year. Furthermore, they would find that the daily average airplane accidents are down 38% if they would just look at the days Trump has been in office (31 days; 56 accidents; 1.8/day) and then compare that daily figure to the daily figure from Jan/Feb 2024 (59 days; 173 accidents; 2.9/day), a period that would be roughly comparable.

Moreover, several of the high profile accidents we’ve seen recently illustrate that there were DEI lower-competence people in air-traffic control, hardware and software design/manufacturing (malfunctions; think Boeing), and/or as a pilot.

Take the recent crash in Canada this past week. Delta prides itself on being a “DEI” airline. The pilot that crashed the Delta Flight airplane near Toronto by landing it upside down (I kid you not) is a female DEI (non merit) hire…flying for Endeavor Air, a company that openly discriminates against men.

She (the pilot) got hired because the company largely excludes males, and probably white conservative males especially, from the talent candidacy pool! Who in their right mind would willingly want to fly on these types of airlines or do business with these types of DEI-oriented businesses when given options offered by merit- and performance-based service providers and businesses? How Can it be Trump’s Fault?

Honestly, how could fake media even insinuate that the alleged “increased” airplane accidents are attributable to Trump? It makes no logical sense, even if there were an increase in airplane accidents, which there haven’t been.

POTUS has been in office one month. He doesn’t even have his cabinet entirely in place and still has staff and leadership at the FAA from the Biden Administration, except for a few non-safety staff (about 300 of 50,000 total) that DOGE recommended to be terminated in the past week or two. Moverover, they received eight months of full pay and health benefits as a severance package, too, funded by taxpayers, of course.

People need to understand that it will require at least 12 to 18 months to really begin to see meaningful improvements in the economy, corruption, taxes, illegal immigration, jobs, and such.

We are dealing with what amounts to a criminal cartel, after all.

Data Don’t Lie

Back to the point.

It doesn’t require much effort or time to question the narratives being spewed by legacy media and non-player characters (NPC) sharing the narratives on social media and in schools.

I simply spent 30-seconds to search the Internet for data about airplane accidents this year (98 so far in 2025, or about 2.0 per day over 50 days) and then compared the data to a reasonably similar period from last year (173 in Jan/Feb 2024, or about 2.9 per day over 59 days). But, the decrease is even more pronounced (to only 1.8/day), once we adjust for the fact that Trump didn’t take office until 20 Jan 2025.

Here’s the monthly data from National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which was just updated at close of business today (20 Feb.), so the data might be through 19 Feb.

Also, as indicated, POTUS Trump has only been in office for 31 days (beginning 20 January). During this period, only 21 of the 63 accidents in January are under his watch if we just pro-rate the data, and 35 so far in February. So, in 31 days under POTUS, we have experienced 56 airplane accidents, or 1.8 airplane accidents per day. That’s a decrease of 38% from the Jan/Feb period of last year that totaled 2.9 airplane accidents per day!

Truth of the Matter

  • Under Donald J. Trump’s watch as POTUS (only 31 days in office through 19 Feb.), average daily airplane accidents are down 38% compared to average daily airplane accidents in a similar period of 2024 (Jan/Feb).
  • If we compared the 1.8 accidents per day under POTUS to the 3.9 average daily airplane accidents for the entire year of 2024, then the accidents per day under POTUS is 54% lower!
    • I wouldn’t publish this figure, even though it’s more provocative, because it’s not honest (some would call it being disingenuous) to compare dissimilar periods (Jan/Feb 2025 data to the entire data of 2024).

Airplane Accidents by Year

  • 2025: 98 (through 19 Feb; that’s ~2.0 accidents per day over 50 days)*
  • 2024: 1,415 (that’s 3.9 accidents per day)
  • 2023: 1,481 (that’s 4.1 accidents per day)
  • Jan. 2025: 63
  • Feb. 2025 (through 19th): 35
  • Jan. 2024: 80
  • Feb. 2024 : 93

* Note on YTD 2025 Calculation

  • If we just pro-rate the 63 accidents in January to POTUS Trump since the day he was inaugurated on the 20th, then only 21 accidents from January would be on his watch; there have been 35 airplane accidents so far on his watch in February (though 19 Feb.). So, a total of 56 accidents over 31 days, or just 1.8 accidents per day. That’s 38% fewer than the 2.9 average accidents per day that occured in a similar period (Jan/Feb) last year.

Bottom Line

The data clearly show that daily airplane accidents this year under Trump’s watch is a lot less than the daily airplane accidents in the recent past using entire 2024 data or just using Jan/Feb 2024 data. It doesn’t matter how you skin this cat, the propaganda media and the people who believe them are pushing a fake narrative.

Legacy Media Propaganda

The legacy media is mostly a propaganda outfit.

Despite that, I think the people that actually believe this stuff, and then spread the lies, without engaging in basic kid-level critical thinking are a magnitude worse than the corporate and paid propagandists because there are more of them and they are often trusted as school teachers, friends, relatives, and such, making it even easier for them to unintentionally or otherwise brainwash the trusting and unsuspecting people close to them.

Mass Formation Psychosis

Furthermore, it’s sad that so many people will believe what they are told to believe without using any meaningful critical thinking or asking grade-school level questions such as, “where is the data that supports this notion?” Doing so would be the bare minimum expected of a home-schooled fifth grader. What has happened to the critical thinking abilities of grown adults? Are they truly suffering a mental problem such as mass formation psychosis or is it just a herd/tribal mentality, which may masquerade as a mental deficiency?

The good news for me is this stuff (the fake social and news media; social media posts/lies shared by Radical Leftists, mentally and critically-thinking challenged, etc.) makes me and many others feel like geniuses.

All this reminds me of the main character and plot in that psychological comedy-drama movie (1975) and book (1962), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
