As I rode my Cignal Rialto bicycle 14 miles (22.53 km) total—to-and-from the Greenway Trail—for my weekly run this morning,1I can legitimately say “run” instead of “jog” because my pace has naturally increased noticeably, to an average relaxing pace of just under 8:45 minutes/mile while running 11.60 miles (18.67 km). one resident may have crossed the line with Halloween decorations!
Crossing the Halloween Decoration Line
If you imagine the decorations visible in the picture also being on two more sides of the house, then you’ll have a clear idea of how the resident crossed the Halloween Decoration line.

Garden Herbs
Here’s an assortment of herbs and green cherry tomatoes that were included with dinner on Saturday evening.
- Sage
- Rosemary
- Strawberry leaves (yes, they are edible)
- Oregano
- Fennel (seeds and leaves)
- Thyme
- Lemon balm
- Dandelion leaves
- Hairy Cat’s Ear (dandelion look alike)
- Mint (pepper and spear)
- Egyptian walking onion leaves
- Basil (sweet and bonsai)
The yellow flower that looks like a dandelion is Hairy Cat’s Ear, which is also edible and nutritious. I’m picking the green cherry tomatoes and frying them with my meal, since they won’t have time to ripen before the cold weather comes rolling in.

There’s also a little pumpkin growing.
Closing Words
I can now say I’ve eaten a Hairy Cat’s Ear with my dinner. How ’bout you?
